Modify

PDFCreator allows you to modify your documents while converting them. See the following sections to learn more about the capabilities of PDFCreator.

Cover

With PDFCreator you can add a cover to your documents. The cover may have multiple pages. These page or pages will be placed in the document in front of the actual pages.

Cover file (PDF): Select a cover file. It must be a PDF file, but will be placed in all output formats.

Background

Adds the content of a PDF file to the background of the document. The background file must be a PDF file.

Note

Background pages only work for PDF as output format.

In case the background file has less pages than the actual document you can select a Repetition:

No Repetition: The first background pages will be set (first background page on the first document page, second to second etc.). Page numbers above the number of background pages do not get a background.

Repeat all pages: The background pages repeat themselves until the end of the document. This can be used to have different backgrounds for even and odd pages.

Repeat last page: The first background pages will be set. The last background page will be repeated until the end of the document. This is useful if the first page has a different layout than the rest of the pages (i.e. cover page and content pages).

Add background to cover: Add the background to cover pages as well.

Add background to attachment: Add the background to attachment pages as well.

Attachement

PDFCreator can add an attachment to your documents. The attachment may contain multiple pages. These pages will be placed in the document behind the actual pages.

Attachment file (PDF): Select an attachment file. It must be a PDF file, but will be placed in all output formats.

Stamp

PDFCreator can put a “stamp” in the center of each page of the document. The stamp text can be set here. Furthermore you can change the stamps font, color, size, and if the text should be filled or drawn as outline.

Note

You can only use TrueType fonts here. Windows does support other formats (ODF, TTC), but they will not be displayed in the font list and can’t be used in PDFCreator.
