Alternativ zu den Gruppenrichtlinien können die gleichen Einstellungen auch als Einschränkungen unter HKLM festgelegt werden. Dadurch können Administratoren diese Einschränkungen auf Computern festlegen, die nicht Teil einer Windows-Domäne sind.
Die „Beschränkungseinstellungen“ sind die gleichen Einstellungen wie die Einstellungen in den Gruppenrichtlinien und können verwendet werden, wenn Gruppenrichtlinien nicht anwendbar sind.
Wie die Gruppenrichtlinien, sind sie nur in den Business-Versionen von PDFCreator verfügbar, nicht aber in PDFCreator Free.
PDFCreator liest diese Einstellungen, aber ändert sie nicht und schreibt sie auch nicht in HKCU.
Bemerkung
Die Gruppenrichtlinien haben immer Vorrang vor den „Beschränkungseinstellungen“!
Die „Beschränkungseinstellungen“ müssen in der Registry gesetzt werden unter HKLM\Software\pdfforge\PDFCreator\Restrictions… (alle sind vom Typ String).
