Adds page numbers to the document.
For specifing the format you can use Tokens. The special token <PageNumber> will be replaced with the current page number.
Tip
This action is particularly useful for consistent page numbering in different documents. If you use Merge two documents for several documents and this action is activated, the numbering is added seamlessly to all documents.
Use Roman Numerals can be activated to replace the <PageNumber> and the <NumberOfPages> tokens with roman numerals (I, II, III, IV etc.) instead of the arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4 etc.).
Begin on page specifies the first page of the document that is numbered. E.g. if set to 4, the first three pages will not recieve a page number.
Begin counting at specifies the page number on the first numbered page. E.g. if Begin on page is set to 4 and Begin counting at is set to 10, then the fourth page of the document will recieve the number ten, the fifth page the number eleven and so on.
Note
You can only use TrueType fonts here. Windows does support other formats (ODF, TTC), but they will not be displayed in the font list and can’t be used in PDFCreator.
You can select a positioning and set a margin that refers to this positioning. The default margin is 1 inch both horizontally and vertically. With a margin of 0, the text will touch the edge of the document.
Alternate Corner is available if the positioning is set to a corner. This option will switch the positioning to the opposite corner on every second page of the document.
Note
To select if the page numbers are placed on the Cover or Attachment pages, place the page numbers action in the action order after the cover or attachment action (see Actions (Workflow Editor)). If you don’t want page numbers on these pages put the page numbers action in front.
