Per default the PDFCreator Server windows service is running in the security context of the LocalSystem account. Because of that, the service is not allowed to access shared network drives.
In order to enable access, the service needs to be run as a user who has access to the drive. This can be configured through the “Services” application in Windows.
Services can be configured through the “Services” application in Windows. In the properties of the PDFCreator Server service you can select if the LocalSystem account should be used or you can specify an alternative user name and password. Ensure that the account you chose has the required access rights.
Note
It is required to use UNC paths when accessing network drives.
